Pepita is a safe catamaran because of her light displacement and speed under sails (in the weak breezes (8 to 12 knots) Pepita can sail when other bigger cats do not): her stability (notably when moored), her generous deck space, her 3’ draft allowing guests to access shallow waters for private lonely anchorages, but also the saloon en-suite with cockpit, make of Pepita one of the most convenient yacht in the San Blas.

YOUR CREW

Since November 2006, Gilbert, the captain aboard, is assited by Elisabeth, a Native Kuna Indian! Until then, this Frenchman (who also speaks fluent English and Spanish) worked in Florida in the maintenance of large units. He takes good care of the catamaran Pepita. Gilbert lives in San Blas a bit like Robinson Crusoe: he has even made, with wood found on a desert island, a large space for barbecues and lunches on the beach.

A captain very “nature”: he will make you kayak up the rivers and discover the local wildlife. Gilbert only has the right to cook BBQ & the lobsters + giant crabs!), Elisabeth, a Kuna Indian, is in charge of the rest of the cooking and “house keeping”: a way to discover traditional food such as coconut rice, coconut “pulpo” or the “ceviche”. She also loves to prepare “continental” meals!

Please Note:

The San Blas Islands archipelago is a completely remote Indian territory, with no facilities such as marinas, docks, grocery store, etc... All is supplied from Panama City by plane. The culture on these charters is very casual and one must Not expect luxury. Although, yacht chartering remains the most comfortable and enjoyable way to discover these breathtaking islands.

Payment & Cancellation Terms:

• 60% of charter fee is due upon booking. The outstanding balance is due 45 days prior to departure.
• All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to the following charges: A full refund less a $150.00 administration fee is given should the reservation be canceled in writing up to 6 months prior to the charter start date. If the charter is canceled within 90 days of charter start date, then 40% refund (less $150.00) is made; within 60 days of charter start date, then 30% refund (less $150.00) is made;
