No crowds, no set itineraries, nothing to do but sit back, relax and choose from an incredible variety of activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, sunbathing, and island exploring. If you aren't a certified scuba diver, the Aqua Cat offers full certification scuba diving courses. Photographers will find underwater life in the Exumas some of the most prolific and varied of any coral reef in the world. Aqua Cat offers luxury accommodations, a spacious main salon and an extremely smooth ride. Her ability to cruise at a speed of 14-knots will get you to dive sites quickly while her 35-ft beam will ensure a smooth ride. The eleven passenger cabins are some of the largest of any liveaboard in the world.
Cabins: 11 Private cabins (twin, king or combos) with bathroom with shower, hair dryer, oversized berths, bar refrigerator, individually controlled air-conditioners, carpeted floors.
Dining & Salon Areas: Two large tables with seating for 24 in cane style cushioned chairs, beverage area dispenses soft drinks and beer on tap and icemaker, 7 three seat cane lounges, two televisions with VCRs and DVDs, a video editing area (multiple format), a photo light table, the ship’s boutique.
Dive Deck: Photo station with large work area and three shelves for camera storage, 110v & 220v outlets for battery charging, two enclosed showers, one toilet with sink, two dive ladders, rinse hoses with hot & cold water by each dive ladder, two fresh water rinse tanks.
Sun & Alfresco Deck: Three outdoor tables, BBQ grill and griddle Television with VCR (multiple format), 6 sun loungers, bar area with soft drink and beer taps, and an icemaker.
CUISINE
We serve three meals a day, as well as snacks and fresh fruits. Fresh fish or lobster is also served, in season. Most meals served will be a combination of Bahamian and American cuisine. A selection of beverages is always on hand, from soft drinks and lemonade to beer, wine and rum drinks. Dinner will be ashore Friday evening. ACTIVITIES & ADVENTURE
The Aqua Cat offers many activities besides scuba diving. You will have a great time exploring the 200 mostly uninhabited islands with their many beautiful beaches in the northern Exumas. The Aqua Cat has a 28’ launch that can take you to isolated beaches where you can sunbathe, explore, kayak, snorkel or fish. You will enjoy feeding and photographing the iguanas on Allan’s Cay. You can visit the headquarters of the Exumas Land & Sea Park on Warderick Wells and explore the many trails. You can also kayak the creeks that meander through Shroud Cay. These creeks are nurseries for many varieties of fish and sharks. For those interested in bird watching, the Exumas are a nesting area for many species of seabirds including White-Tailed Tropicbirds, Audubon Shearwaters, Brown Noddies, and Bridled and Sooty Terns.
