Diverse sailing areas are why the Exumas are known as a sailor's playground. As a Level 3 sailing area, the Exumas offer a mix of challenging and easy-to-navigate, clear-blue waters. Your journey starts southbound along Exuma Cays' west coast. Open sail and duck into secluded harbors and popular port towns you'll find along the way. Untouched beaches and seaside bars await you in between spectacular anchorages.

Day 1: Highborne Cay
Known as the "Gateway to the Exumas", Highborne Cay is a private island, welcoming yachtsman and sailors alike to explore its luxury cottages and worldclass marina. Within walking distance of the marina, you'll find eight deserted beaches where you can spend the day kayaking or snorkelling. Find a beautiful anchorage then go by dinghy to Allan's Cay where large iguanas roam Leaf Cay beach, which is another superb spot for snorkelling. Head back to Highborne Cay and enjoy a cocktail with dinner from a hill-top with 360-degree views of paradise. You've never seen a Caribbean sunset like this.

Day 2: Norman Cay
A must see - Norman Cay is surrounded by a vibrant coral reef, making it the perfect backdrop for a day on the water. We recommend snorkeling the sunken plane that's located on the southwest point of the island. Surrounded by tropical fish and pristine coral, you'll be immersed in a beautiful underwater world that's just 10-feet deep. Collect shells and comb the beach on this fun day in the sun.

Day 3: Staniel Cay
Staniel Cay credits its claim to fame to two James Bond movies that took place on this spectacular island. Explore the "Thunderball Grotto", a fantastic underwater cave system on the west side of Staniel Cay. From watersports to leisurely walking along charming harbours to dining at the elegant Staniel Cay Yacht Club, you're sure to fall in love with the island flair and good vibes.

Day 4: Warderick Wells Cay
The number one thing to do on Warderick Wells Cay is explore the largest underwater sea park in the Caribbean. Home to some of the world's most treasured diving and snorkeling spots, you'll swim and play among sea turtles, vibrant reefs and tropical sea life. Go by foot and discover the island's 20 secluded beaches. A premier anchorage, Warderick Wells Cay is a pristine location as part of the highly-protected Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park.

Day 5: Shroud Cay
Continue on through the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park area until you find Shroud Cay. Uninhabited and rocky, Shroud Cay will surprise you with its white-sand beaches. Snorkel in sheltered coves and bask in blissful underwater life. Conch, lobster, sea turtles and vibrant fish will greet you there. Take your dinghy through creeks and estuaries until you reach Camp Driftwood Beach. Enjoy Shroud Cay, and pretend like it's your own private island for a day.

Day 6: Rose Island
Rose Island is a short hop from the main port of Nassau. Take the 9.5-mile journey and stop at a number of secluded coves and pristine beaches. If you're looking for the party life, Rose Island delivers. Stop by the popular Sandy Toes beach that gets wild on Sundays. Choose your adventure, whether you want to hang at the seaside bar or chill by the grove of hammocks that line the shore. Spend your last night in paradise onboard and soak in the beauty of the north side of the island. This sunset is one you'll never forget.

Day 7: Back to Exuma base
Enjoy smooth sailing as you head from Rose Island to the Exuma base.
