The stunning cruising ground of Phuket offers dramatic scenery, beautiful beaches, world-class diving and excellent year round sailing conditions, that can all be enjoyed on a Phuket sailing vacation. Phuket's glory is its majestic coastline, beaches range from gentle crescents of sand with calm waters to dramatic rocky headlands rising out of the surf. Visit the famous Phi Phi and James Bond islands or discover smaller, uninhabited gems that fill the Andaman Sea. There are no set itineraries set this destination. Day 1: Ao Po Grand Marina, Phuket

The base is located at the Ao Po Grand Marina. Explore ashore before you set sail and wander down the streets of the bustling night market in Phuket City. Phuket yacht charters allow you to experience one of the finest cruising areas in Asia, boasting more than 130 picturesque islands. Thailand's southern isle of paradise is blessed with a wide array of attractive beaches and idyllic islands surrounded by the warm turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea. Beaches range from gentle crescents of sand with calm waters to dramatic rocky headlands rising out of the surf. The island's western shore is dotted with dozens of spectacular beaches, bays, capes, cliffs and coral reefs. Phuket and Krabi are just two of the highlights of the west coast, boasting the stunning Phang Nga Bay and jungle walks, as well as amazing rock formations. Customers benefit from a close proximity to the Phang Nga Bay area, a favorite destination for charter boats, as well as having the chance to leave and come back at all times as Ao Po Grand Marina has 24 hour access independent of the tide.

Mooring: There are numerous protected anchorages on the east coast of Phuket. During the northeast monsoon, the west coast of the island offers a tantalizing array of potential harbors and coves to explore. New mooring facilities at the Ao Po Grand Marina offer 24 hour access independent of the tide.

Things to do: Visit some of the world's top scuba diving sites at the offshore marine preserves of the Similan and Surin islands. Visit pristine white-sand beaches and uninhabited islands. Lively nightlife. Savor the local cuisine. Phuket King's Cup Regatta

Facilities: Water and electricity are available on the berths at the base and there is a deep water fuel dock. Locally there are also a 5-star boutique hotel, restaurants and retail outlets.

Day 2: Koh Hong, Phang Nga Bay (10 nm)

Phang Nga Bay offers a striking gallery of giant limestone rocks rise out of emerald waters. You will also find in Phang Nga Bay the famous "James Bond Island" and have a taste of a James Bond movie for a day. Koh Hong or 'Room Island' is part of a group of islands one hour north of Krabi, often visited on a Koh Hong yacht charter. It is the largest island in the group with great hollows inside, resembling a hall or room. Its name comes from an eroded group of caves in the middle of the island containing a large lake with a small passage to the sea. With high tide, long tail boats are able to enter the 'room' and visitors can swim around in crystal clear water. Koh Hong's only beach, the beautiful Pelay Beach, boasts fine white sand, coral and is surrounded by limestone rock formations which give it the feel of a room. The island contains coral formations in both shallow and deep water and offers a 'desert island' experience due to the limited number of visitors who make the journey. Sheltered sea conditions make the island perfect for families, and a great year-round destination.

Mooring: No moorings are available, however, two anchorages are located at Koh Hong Krabi on the north and south sides of the island. There's a good anchorage at nearby Koh Pak Bia, off the west side of the island.

Things to do: Enjoy the beautiful beach. Diving and swimming. Kayaking. Consider planning a longtail boat tour to James Bond Island

Day 3: Koh Yao Yai (15 nm)

Take a longtail boat to Koh Phing Kan, the world famous James Bond Island. You'll find breathtaking views as you lay upon a white sand beach, in tropical surroundings with only the sound of the warm, clear waters to occupy you.

Day 4: Rai Le Beach (15 nm)

Rai Le Beach in Krabi is famous as much for the remarkable views and mangrove forests to the north of the beach, as for the adrenaline pumping activity of cliff climbing.Rai Le Beach in Krabi is famous as much for the remarkable views and mangrove forests to the north of the beach, as for the adrenaline pumping activity of cliff climbing. Rai Le Beach is generally divided into two sections, East Hat Rai Le and West Hat Rai Le.West Hat Rai Le offers more traditional beach scenery with a broad sandy beach and clear water. The beach offers stunning sunsets and peace and quiet to relax and unwind, as well as swimming and snorkeling. East Hat Rai Le is partly covered by mangrove forests to the north of the beach and from the viewpoint at the east offers breathtaking views of the mountains and islands of Krabi Sea.The limestone cliffs on the huge headland between Hat Rai Le East and Tham Phra Nang provide world-class rock climbing facilities against a stunning backdrop of the sea. With approximately 700 sport routes of mid to high difficulty ratings many experience this unique thrill on a Rai Le Beach Krabi yacht charter.

Mooring: No moorings are available. The best anchorage is off the broad sandy beach.

Things to do: Cliff climbing. Enjoy the spectacular views. Excellent snorkeling on the coral reef. Caves and intriguing rock formations along the rocky southern headland. Swimming off a pristine white-sand beach lined with coconut palms

Facilities: Beachfront restaurants. Water is available by taking the dinghy ashore with a jerry can. Limited provisions are available.

Day 5: Koh Phi Phi Don (20 nm)

You can enjoy the island's beautiful beaches, renowned for their stunning white sands, as well as snorkeling on the reefs, home to an abundance of corals and vibrant marine life.

Day 6: Koh Racha Yai (25 nm)

Comprising of two islands - Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha ai, you will be invited into the clear warm waters where you can experience snorkeling and diving at its very best.Koh Racha Yai lies about 12 miles south of Phuket, one of two islands that make up the Racha Islands. In Thai, 'Yai' means big and as you would expect, Koh Racha Yai is the larger of the two islands of the group. There are two main beaches offering soft white sand and stunning views of the nearby islands, as well as small bays with secluded beaches including Lha Bay, Ter Bay and Kon Kare Bay. Koh Racha Yai's east coast is renowned for scuba diving, with visibility as good as 30m. There are tracks and trails linking some of the beaches on the island, although much of the interior of the island is steep, forested hills. There are a few rustic restaurants located on the island, often overlooking the picturesque beaches. Koh Racha Yai yacht charter allows you to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the island, as well as some of the main pastimes in the area, fishing and snorkeling. Kon Kare Bay is the location of the Ban Raya Resort and Spa which offers its own horse-riding club.

Mooring: Anchor well offshore to stay clear of the coral heads further inshore.

Things to do: Fishing. Scuba Diving and snorkeling. A horse riding club.

Day 7: Ko Khai Nok (15 nm)

The Island is a hidden gem with a lot to offer visitors, despite its small size there are a series of stalls and restaurants located in the center of the island.Koh Khai Nok is a tiny, idyllic island, part of a group situated just east of Phuket. The Island can be reached within 20 minutes by long-tail boat from Phuket or you can anchor off the island. Koh Khai Nok is a small triangular island, comprising a rocky headland and a beach, ringed by fine, white sand and coral. The Island is a hidden gem with a lot to offer visitors, despite its small size there are a series of stalls and restaurants located in the centerof the island. The Khai Islands are especially suitable for kids due to the shallow water which surrounds them. With an abundance of tropical fish that are used to the presence of humans, there is a lot to keep snorkelers and swimmers entertained.

Moorings: Yachts can anchor off the island.
