Plan a St. Lucia to Grenada sailing itinerary that's full of unforgettable experiences including windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving in these caribbean turquoise waters.

Day 1: Marigot Bay to Pitons

Start your charter in Marigot Bay, a stunning landlocked inlet used by Nelson to hide his fleet from the French. After a detailed chart and boat briefing set off for a short sail to the Pitons, one of the most dramatic locations in the Caribbean where the cone shaped peaks drop almost vertically into the sea. Shore side excursions include the World's only "drive-in volcano". Spend the night on a mooring in the Pitons Marine Park and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Day 2: Pitons to Bequia

After Breakfast, set sail for Bequia. When passing St Vincent it's worth a short excursion into Wallilabou to see what remains of the film set of Pirates of the Caribbean. Bequia has a unique, magical charm which is hard to find anywhere else in the Caribbean. The island combines an enduring seafaring heritage with a wonderful laid back atmosphere. Pick up a mooring in Admiralty Bay and clear in with Customs and Immigration. Stock up on some hard to find items at Doris Fresh Foods and then enjoy cocktails and dinner at one of several shore-side restaurants.

Day 3: Bequia to Mustique

A short sail to Mustique, stopping at Petit Nevis on the way for a swim. Mustique is a private island that offers a rare combination of elegance and informality to those who seek privacy and luxury. Pick up a mooring before heading over to the World famous Basil's Bar; home of the Mustique Rhythm and Blues Festival.

Day 4: Mustique to Tobago Cays

Sail south to the Tobago Cays, one of the most beautiful anchorages in the World. Anchor or pick up one of the moorings inside the Cays with the huge horseshoe reef in front of you to protect from the ocean swell. There are no restaurants or bars in the Cays - light up the BBQ and dine under the stars.

Day 5: Tobago Cays

Spend the day snorkeling and exploring the Cays - since the area is protected the wealth of sea life is extraordinary. Just off the little island of Baradel is an area cordoned off for turtles to feed, and it's an incredible experience to get close and swim with these remarkable animals. Explore the islands ashore and climb to their summits for the stunning views and watch the almost tame iguanas and land tortoises lumbering around.

Day 6: Tobago Cays to Salt Whistle Bay, Mayreau

A short sail west in the morning takes you to Mayreau. The island is rimmed by magnificent sweeping white sandy beaches perfect for sailing and snorkeling. Drop anchor in Salt Whistle Bay, a lovely half moon shaped beach of white sand. For dinner dine Flintstone style on rock tables at the Salt Whistle Bay Resort or anchor in Saline Bay and walk up to Dennis's Hideaway for fresh local fish or lobster.

Day 7: Mayreau to Chatham Bay, Union Island

Sail downwind for an hour to Chatham Bay, Union Island. This peaceful anchorage is protected by high hills and has a long sandy beach. There is excellent snorkeling along the north side of the bay and some great walking ashore. For dinner enjoy a beach BBQ organized by "Shark Attack" or local food at the Sun, Beach and Eat Bar run by Seckie and Vanessa.

Day 8: Chatham Bay to Petit St. Vincent

Sail from Chatham to Clifton Harbour, clear out of the Grenadines then sail on to Petit St Vincent for the night. Anchor off PSV Resort, dine exclusively at the resort or arrange a water taxi for excellent local food at Palm Beach Restaurant on Petite Martinique. Top off with water and fuel if required on Petite Martinique.

Day 9: Mayreau to Chatham Bay, Union Island

Sail downwind for an hour to Chatham Bay, Union Island. This large anchorage has a sweeping beach under high hills. There is excellent snorkeling along the north side of the bay and some great walking ashore. For dinner enjoy a beach BBQ organized by "Shark Attack" or local food at the Sun, Beach and Eat Bar run by Seckie and Vanessa.

Day 10: Chatham Bay to Petit St.

Day 11: Petit St. Vincent to Sandy Island

Sail downwind to Carriacou, anchoring off Hillsborough to clear into Grenada before moving onto a mooring at Sandy Island. Spend the afternoon snorkeling and walking the beach and either overnight here or motor the short distance round to Tyrrel Bay where you will find local restaurants and bars. It's worth spending time to explore Carriacou, another incredibly laid back island of 1 gas station and 200 rum shops!

Day 12: Carriacou

Take a tour of Carriacou - head to Windward village on the NE corner of the island where traditional boat building skills have been passed down the generations and still continue today. Stop at Hospital Hill and take in the views over Hillsborough and north to Union Island. If you're feeling fit and adventurous set off on a hike - one of the easiest and most scenic trails is from Hillsborough to Tyrrel Bay. Alternatively explore the mangroves in Tyrell Bay by dinghy.

Day 13: Carriacou to Ross Point, St. George's

an exhilarating downwind sail to St George's passing the isolated islands of Kick 'em Jenny and Isle De Ronde. On arrival at St George's anchor off Ross Point or for luxury book a slip at the new Port Louis Marina. Dine at the marina's own restaurant or for some very authentic local cuisine go to BB's Crab Back on the Carenage.

Day 14: St. George's to Clarke's Court Bay

Sail around the south coast of Grenada and explore one of the many sheltered anchorages on the south side of the island. Clarke's Court Bay is one of the best and easiest to enter. You can spend the day swimming and gunk holing the mangroves that line the bay. There are several local restaurants nearby with fresh fish or lobster on the menu.

Day 15: Clarke's Court Bay to True Blue Bay

A short downwind sail takes you to True Blue Bay where the Horizon staff will assist you to the dock for a noon finish. True Blue Resort is just a few minutes ride from the airport and is a great place to base yourselves if you plan to be on island and explore for a few more days.
