Tahiti Cruising Adventure Program

The names alone conjure visions of paradise: Bora Bora, Tahaa, Raiatea and Huahine, all famed for the volcanic silhouettes they reveal to those lucky enough to approach by sea. There's a reason so many epic tales of adventure were set here. In Tahiti every snorkel is a swim through an aquarium. And you can sail into a lagoon where a sacred village was forbidden to visitors until only a few decades ago. Discover mystical Tahaa's lagoon, then visit the unpeopled islets that stand sentry along its north side. A sail to Bora Bora's striking west shore displays the island's twin-volcano silhouette rising from the vast sea - the same fabled tableau world explorers saw centuries ago. Call about our new opportunities to visit the remote and unexplored underwater wonderworld of the Tuamotu Islands, recently declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Day 1: After a warm welcome by your crew, depart for Tahaa, sailing in calm, protected waters inside the reef. Anchor in lovely Apu Bay for the night.

Day 2: Leave early for a 5-hour sail to Bora Bora's west shore. The island's dramatic silhouette in the distance is one of the most magicalsights on earth. Anchor at Motu Tofari, and snorkel the reef before dinner.

Day 3: Explore the magnificent waters of the palm-fringed Bora Bora Lagoon. Anchor for the night at the Lagoonarium on the east shore.

Day 4: Sail back to Raiatea for an overnight at Faaroa Bay where you will dine under the stars.

Day 5: By early morning light, explore the Aoppamao River in your dinghy. Cut the engine and drift, listening to birdsong and the ancient sounds of the river. After lunch, sail inside the lagoon to the village of Opoa, home of sacred religious sites. Anchor in Hotopuo Bay and dinghy ashore.

Day 6: Sail all the way around Tahaa inside the lagoon. Anchor tonight in Haamene Bay. Enjoy a swim, or go kayaking beforecocktails and another breathtaking dining experience.

Day 7: Visit the beautiful motus (islets) on the north side of Tahaa. Anchor for the night next to Motu Tautau. At sunset, you'll toastto this magnificent destination and your incredible vacation.

Day 8: Bid farewell to paradise for now as you cruise back to the base for a 10:00am arrival
