Plan a sailing itinerary departing from Union island, Grenada, that's full of unforgettable experiences including windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving in Grenada's turquoise waters.

Day 1: Clifton Harbour to Mayreau

After a comprehensive chart and yacht briefing at Clifton Harbour, set sail to Mayreau dropping anchor in Salt Whistle Bay, a palm fringed semi circle of white sand. There's some good walking here, but most worthwhile is the short hike to the top of the hill and the breathtaking view from the Catholic Church. For dinner dine Flintstone style on rock tables at Salt Whistle Bay Resort or anchor in Saline Bay and walk up to Dennis's Hideaway for fresh local fish or lobster.

Day 2: Mayreau to Tobago Cays

Sail to the Tobago Cays in the morning; one of the most beautiful anchorages in the world. Anchor or pick up one of the moorings inside the Cays with huge horseshoe reef in front of you to protect from ocean swell. There are no restaurants or bars in the Cays-Light up the BBQ and dine under the stars.

Day 3: Tobago Cays to Mustique

After Breakfast and a swim, it's time to head to Mustique. Although the island's reputation is as a holiday home for the rich and famous the island remains quiet and un-spoilt with lovely walks and beautiful beaches. You can tour the island by foot, electric taxi or on horseback. In January each year is the Blues Festival entered at Basil's bar - you may never know which star you might meet.

Day 4: Mustique to Bequia

Set sail for a brief voyage to Bequia. Bequia is excellent for provisioning-the local fruit and veg market is a great experience. The island also has a wide selection of restaurants with local or international cuisine. For the active there are some excellent hikes or if more leisurely just wander around Port Elizabeth and soak up the laid back atmosphere.

Day 5: Bequia to Canouan

Sail south to Canouan - an island that combines luxury and elegance with natural beauty and local charm. Canouan is famous for the Canouan Resort and Trump International Golf Club and has one of the Caribbean's longest barrier reefs. Scuba dive on this amazing coral reef, take a coastal hike to secluded beaches and bays. Complete your day with fine dining and cocktails against a backdrop of palm trees and dreamy sunsets.

Day 6: Canouan to Petit st. Vincent

After a leisurely breakfast head for Petit St. Vincent. PSV is a self contained paradise of soft rolling hills spread across acres of white sand beaches. Anchor off PSV Resort; spend the day exploring and swimming in the warm turquoise waters. Dine exclusively at the resort or arrange a water taxi for excellent local food at Palm Beach Restaurant on Petite Martinique.

Day 7: Petit St.Vincent to Chatham Bay

Sail north to Chatham Bay. This large anchorage has a sweeping beach under high hills. There is excellent snorkeling along the north side of the bay and some great walking ashore. For dinner, enjoy a beach BBQ organized by "Shark Attack" or local food at the Sun, Beach and Eat Bar run by Seckie and Vanessa.

Day 8: Chatham Bay to Clifton Harbour

After breakfast sail over to Clifton Harbour for a noon finish. Book a taxi to the airport or spend a few more days exploring the island. There are many things to do in Union Island. Have a great meal in a restaurant, climb a mountain, hike a nature trail or swim at the beach. Don't forget to try one of the local rum concoctions!
