How to Choose the Right Boat for your vacation in Barcelona

When browsing the fleet on Tropical Yachts, you’ll find a mix of monohulls and catamarans. Below are practical criteria to help choose the right boat depending on the type of vacation, nautical preferences, number of people, and season.

Type of Vacation

Relaxation & Comfort: Choose a catamaran. More stable, wider decks, larger cabins — ideal for families and guests who prefer comfort over sporty sailing.
Adventure & Sailing Thrill: Choose a monohull. More heel and better upwind performance; gives a more “classic” sailing experience.
Luxury Experience: Larger catamarans or premium monohulls with A/C, generators, and extra amenities.

Group Size

2–4 people: Small monohulls (around 34–37 ft) are cozy, economical, and easy to handle.
4–6 people: Mid-sized monohulls (40–45 ft) or smaller catamarans strike a balance between cost and comfort.
6–10+ people: Larger catamarans (45 ft and up) provide multiple cabins, big saloons, and roomy decks.

Season & Weather
